"Spending time with you and others in the Center for Happiness community "opens" me up, lets in fresh air, new ideas, as well as reminding me of things I know intellectually but have forgotten to put into practice.
It is a very accepting community."

A Day in Happyville
The idea of a Happiness Festival has been brewing. At the end of Happy Ice Cream Day last year, exhausted and amazed at how many people came and the amount of smiles, we vowed to make it happen.
We are creating a beautiful day of JOY, which will take place in HAPPYVILLE! Bubbles, dancing, making music and art together, playing games, more - and ... free ice cream!
Because joy grows from joy, we are launching A Day in Happyville along with the refueling of the Center’s Refugees’ Love Fund, something that started quietly when Laura returned from working in Greece, earlier this year. The fund has already provided fresh food and legal advice to refugees in Greece, and we want to expand that.
Five ways for you to participate:
1) Join us to play on August 25th
2) Help us fund A Day in Happyville and fill up the Center's Refugees Love Fund through our crowdfunding
3) Join our Happyville Building Team and help us make this thing awesome.
4) Contribute supplies (see site)
5) Share this event with everyone you know whose life will be sweeter because of it.
Saturday, August 25th . 11 am to 4 pm . FREE to everyone

Come on over! This will be our second gathering and if you missed the first one, it does not matter one bit.
Realizing how much we all had to learn from and give to each other, we decided to create a quarterly gathering up in the magic of the Ballroom and excited for our second meet-up. During our Happy SKILs meetings, we will spend two hours together creating a beautiful weave of Support, “Konnection," Inspiration and Lightness and help each other extend the practice of Essence into the realm of our work (and if this is not a familiar concept to you yet, it will be soon) so that our work may become more joyful and rewarding.
We invite anyone who operates a business in some fashion, to join us. Whether you are a teacher, a doctor, a shop owner, a community leader, you work from home, man or woman, if you work with other people, our vision is that these Happy SKILs will be a sweet and powerful asset to all of us that will leave us refreshed, inspired and fed. Everyone will add their perfect colorful thread to the rich tapestry.
Saturday, Sept 8th . 10 am to 12 pm . Donations to the magic blender are happily welcome.
Compassionate Listening Workshop
With Andrea Cohen
Compassionate Listening is a practice that reaches deep into the heart of discord or disconnection, teaching people to listen with a different "ear" to those around them. Its powerful tools help transform the energy of conflict into opportunities for understanding, intimacy at home, healthy relationships, productive teamwork, and positive action. It is a practice that provides a roadmap to what sages from all ages and cultures have taught: cultivating the wisdom of the heart is the key to real peace "from the inside out." This is an experiential workshop with great relevance to all relationships. The skills we teach can be particularly helpful in enabling us to show up with compassion and connect with love…despite our differences.
