What do you do, up there? Well, we do a lot of things. The Ballroom is a beautiful blank canvas that can get transformed in many ways. Within the span of one month, we may practice yoga, dance, paint, watch movies, have a potluck, listen to a speaker, dance some more, make stuff, have a drum circle, listen to a concert, have a workshop …. just about anything that we want and that will light someone up. We are always creating new possibilities to be in community with kindness, generosity and a good dose of goofiness.
Do I need to be a member to come play with you? No. The Center is open to anyone.
May I rent the Ballroom for my own event or class? Yes. You are welcome to bring your own happy events to the center. You will have a beautiful 1100 square foot ballroom to play in. Your cost is $20 per hour, plus a spot in your class for someone from our Happy team.
Are you a non-profit organization? We are one of Washington State’s first “Social Purpose Corporations” and operate under the umbrella of Ecologistics, who is our 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor. This allows us to offer a tax deduction to anyone who would like to support us – while benefiting from the deduction. Please let us know if that is your case.
How is the Center funded? Since the Center offers a lot of free and low cost events as well gets regularly involved in community events and fund raisers, we depend greatly on donations. Please consider investing in Happiness by supporting us through becoming a Sustaining Happiness Ambassador.
